Gratitude in the Toughest of Times How a member of my group decided to react to a live-changing situation.
Something amazing and wonderful happened in my pain group today.
A member named Jennifer Peterson posted a video in the group.
Before I saw it, she PM’d me immediately and said that she was nervous that she had broken a group rule. So I watched it…
I was nervous…
(I’ve had to slash a lot of posts lately. Debbie Downer stuff or mentioning medications (strictly forbidden in AoG) I hate it so much.)
As she told her story I started seeing that she was going through hard times…really hard times. And unfortunately I was going to have to delete it because we don’t allow any depressing posts in the group (it’s the one pain group you can go to to get uplifted at any time…day or night.)
But then came the BEST part…..when she was done telling us what happened to her and her current situation, she continued on, caught her breath and said…. “but….”
That’s when it turned around and it became one of the most uplifting and beautiful shining examples of using gratitude with chronic pain. What an inspiration!
WATCH!!!!! And SHARE!
(and yes….I had permission to post)
